Item Description

Malachite specimens from the famous, but extinct Bagdad Mine of Arizona are seldom on the market. Sparkly malachite botryoids, in clusters or as discrete spheroids richly cover the porphyry matrix on the excellent CABINET specimen from the Rober Sullivan Collection. Scattered bruising is noted. Still, its a large plate fro ma rare old locale. This remains a showy, rarely available and large example of the species and locale. This piece probably dates to the 1950s or 60s. Valued$500
