Item Description

An impressive, rarely seen, good sized, and showy small cabinet sized display specimen of Malachite from the Tyrol in Austria. The piece featuring spherical aggregates of deep green colored Malachite measuring to about 8 mm across, sitting on host rock matrix. There are Malachite "balls" on nearly every side of the piece, and they have a mixture of reflective and matte luster in different areas. You don't see many pieces of this size, richness and quality from Schwaz, and if you collect Alpine minerals or secondary ore minerals, this is a really nice example, and you'd be hard-pressed to find another like it on the market. Valued $1250.
From the collection of Henryk Drygalski.
