Item Description
Reminiscent of the old classics from Chessy, France, here we have an attractive miniature sized piece featuring velvety green Malachite which has pseudomorphed after preexisting octahedral crystals of Cuprite, sitting on underlying oxidized matrix. The pseudomorphs are best seen under magnification, and I can't find any real damage. A nice display specimen from what is locally referred to as the "Exi Mine". This is the only example of this material that I can remember seeing from this locality for what it's worth.
