Item Description
Attractive and fine quality velvety green Malachite has formed gorgeous "sword"-shaped pseudomorphs after preexisting Azurite. VERY little damage to speak of, and really showy as you can see from the photos. The largest crystal measures 1.7 cm long. This is classic material from the famous Bisbee mines. This piece is a great example of this hard to find material, and would make a great addition to an Arizona suite, a pseudomorph collection, or a collection of copper minerals. Valued at $600. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#610). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
