Item Description

Here we have a fine quality and aesthetic example of the well-known and highly sought after pseudomorphs of Malachite after Azurite from Tsumeb. This small cabinet size specimen features a few very sharp, well-formed, thick, blocky, crystals of Azurite which have pseudomorphed to velvety green Malachite. Minor matrix is present. A small amount of the original blue Azurite is still visible, but it's mostly all Malachite now. It is not the easiest specimen to photograph, but it truly is more attractive than the photos show. This is a very good specimen of this beloved material from the most significant mineral locality in history. We had this one priced at $1,500 in the inventory.
