Item Description

A superb, small cabinet sized display specimen from the world's most famous locality. A classic, very sharp, pseudomorph of velvety, chatoyant, forest green colored Malachite has replaced preexisting Azurite crystals, aesthetically flaring off of matrix. The textbook "sword"-shaped habit of the original Azurite crystals is still beautifully preserved by the Malachite, and these pseudomorphs are rarely this sharp and pristine from this locality. Excellent condition, with no major damage, save the base where the piece was removed from the pocket wall. A highly displayable and eye-catching piece, truly desirable in terms of the classic locality and the overall superior quality. Valued at $4,500, but it could be higher in today's market with the high prices being paid for top end Tsumeb specimens.
