Item Description
An attractive specimen from the famous Sounion Mine #6 in Lavrion District in Greece featuring lustrous, somewhat chatoyant Malachite pseudomorphs after Azurite, along with little octahedral Cuprites that have also been replaced by Malachite, sitting atop oxidized matrix. The largest pseudomorph measures 1.3 cm across. No damage and very showy.
The piece was mined in 2020 and comes from the collection of Christos Spiromitros (#14L).
