Item Description
An attractive and fine quality velvety green Malachite which has formed a gorgeous "sword"-shaped pseudomorphs after preexisting Azurite. No damage to speak of on the front, and really showy from several angles. This is classic material from the Lavender Pit. The original Sacramento Shaft started in 1904 and produced high grade ore until 1931. The Sacramento Pit started in 1917 and was exhumed by the famous large Lavender Pit in 1950. This piece is a great example of this hard to find material, and would make a great addition to an Arizona suite, a pseudomorph collection, or a collection of copper minerals. Valued at $950 in the inventory.
