Item Description
The Azurite and Malachite specimens from Milpillas will go down as classics, as they are truly world-class in their quality, crystallization and size/aesthetic. This piece is a beautiful and good quality example of these famous pseudomorphs of Malachite after Azurite from this prestigious mine. The piece features beautiful velvety/chatoyant, rich green colored crystals measuring up to 2.1 cm long on minor matrix. Now that the oxidized zone at Milpillas has been mined through, you won't see any new pieces from this locality ever again, so get them while you can. A really eye-catching piece of this somewhat elusive material, that was fairly easy to find 10+ years ago.
