Item Description

A classic older specimen of the famous secondary material from Ajo featuring chatoyant green Malachite which has pseudomorphed after "roses" of Azurite, strewn over the underlying matrix. The largest individual crystal measures about 1.2 cm, but composite "rose" groups are obviously larger, though difficult to accurately measures. There are a handful of localities in Arizona which have produced world-class pseudomorphs of Azurite after Malachite, and top examples from Ajo are certainly in the upper tier.
From the dealer stock of Les Presmyk (De Natura).
