Item Description

A beautiful small cabinet specimen from Touissit featuring a pair of prismatic crystals of Azurite that have been completely pseudomorphed into chatoyant velvety green Malachite measuring up to 4.6 cm, aesthetically flaring off the underlying matrix. The piece is quite showy and dramatic, with excellent aesthetics, and it even sits on its own (thought somewhat precariously) without the aid of a base or clay. It's not common to find free-standing crystals / pseudomorphs on matrix like this from Touissit, and this is certainly one of the best examples of this lesser-seen material that we've had to offer in the auctions. Valued $1,250.
