Item Description

A fine example of these classic pseudomorph, which are some of the most recognizable examples of this specific replacement in the mineral world. Several well-formed, blocky crystals of dark midnight blue Azurite measuring up to 2.6 cm, have largely pseudomorphed into pleasing rich green Malachite, and are associated with a secondary deposition of little botryoidal sparkling Malachite aggregates on host rock matrix. Minor Quartz is present on the piece as well. Very show and robust, a fine display specimen of this incredibly well-known and excellent material from Tsumeb. Valued $2,000. The piece comes with a free custom acrylic display base.
