Malachite ps. Cuprite (rare locale)

Exhibiting classical octahedral symmetry, this lustrous cuprite crystal has been altered to malachite. Lovely! A rarity one might first think was from Onganja in Namibia, but it is not. We bought these from the mining engineer of this remote mine, little known for specimens, who was selling his collection at an East Coast show in 2015. I have never seen such a suite of minerals from this location, and have not had any since. It is a fabulous, sharp specimen with a sharp form, also reiniscent of the (far more expensive and less green colored) French material from old Chessy. Valued ???
