Item Description
A sharp and complexly formed crystal, a fine thumbnail specimen, of this old European classic. These crystals formed ages ago and either were mined or came out of dump finds at the ancient site of Chessy, mined since at least the 1300s for copper and ores. While most are sharply octahedral, this is a modified, complex crystal shape, and more uncommon. From the competitive thumbnail exhibit collection of Bill and Sharon Panczner collected from the 1960s-1980s, and often shown at the time.
