Item Description

Tsumeb pseudomorphs of Malachite after Azurite are absolute classics in anyone's book and this is a particularly beautiful piece. This small cabinet specimen is particularly good, with a single, 2.8 cm Malachite standing majestically above the matrix. What is particularly nice about this specimen, in addition to its form and lovely surface texture, is that the sharpness and complexity of the original Azurite has been so well-preserved, particularly along the termination. This is a superb and aesthetic specimen from Tsumeb, the greatest mine of all. From the noted historic classics collection of Richard 'Dick' Hauck of New Jersey. valued $1000-1200
