Item Description

An aesthetic and rarely seen matrix specimen of Malachite pseudomorphs after Azurite from the now famous discovery of 2007 at Milpillas. Although there were many of these specimens available a few years ago, fine quality, undamaged display specimens such as this one were few and far between. There are several, fine quality, velvety, dark forest-green crystals (measuring up to 1.4 cm) of Malachite that have altered from Azurite sitting atop a matrix with minor associated Chrysocolla. The reverse side of the Malachite crystals shows some additional Chrysocolla along with a small blue "sphere" of rarely seen Plancheite! A very nice matrix specimen of this well known materia.
