Malachite ps Azurite with Arsentsumebite ps Mimetite and Cerussite

Numerous, thick-bladed Malachite pseudomorphs after Azurite dominate this piece that is highlighted around the periphery with bright green aggregates of Arsentsumebite after Mimetite. This double pseumorph rarity is a well composed piece with the Malachite replacement completely preserving the morphology of the Azurite crystals it replaced. The Malachite pseudomorphs range up to 2.5 cm and have a lovely satin, almost shimmering, luster to them. The contrasting bright, almost glowing, green, crudely crystalline replacement of Asentsumebite after Mimetite provides a great color contrast around the periphery transitioning to the base of the piece. There is a late growth that came later of a sprinkling of lustrous, 1 to 3 mm whitish Cerussite crystals sprinkled on the two prominent Malachite after Azurite pseudomorphs and then a few scattered about the Asentsumebite base.
