A dramatic, rich and rare combination from the famous and extinct Tsumeb Mine. Tiny rich green malachite botryoids have pseudomorphed a sculptural dense nest of elongated spinel-twinned copper crystals or are richly scattered on the piece. The pseudos, in turn, rest on a starkly contrasting, striking rich peppering of glassy, adamantine lustre cerussite crystals on the gossan matrix. Such combinations are known from Tsumeb, but specimens of this richness and combination quality are RARE. Choice material from the Charlie Key Collection from a single large piece that we trimmed up. The combination has a surreal quality to it, with the green elongated pseudos covering or next to the glassy cerussites. Valued at $2000.
