Item Description

Mineral specimens are relatively uncommon from this less well-known copper deposit compared to much more famous nearby Katanga mines. This is a RARE, showy and excellent pseudomorph from the Kaganda Mine. Sparkly malachite has replaced a striking, dense, jackstraw cluster of thin barite blades. Very rare, seldom available material, probably collected in the 1970s to early 90s. This size and aesthetics make the piece highly desirable, and one seldom sees them for sale.
