Item Description

Malachite pseudomorphs after azurite crystals are a Bisbee classic and this is a striking and fine example from the Harold Urish Collection. Bright, acicular, primary malachite has pseudomorphed two large, broad, azurite crystals on this aesthetic V-shaped specimen. The malachite is in-turn coated with spherical aggegates of a violet to brown, acicular manganese oxide. An excellent, two-sided pseudo with very large crystals from the famous Southwest Mine. Old-time material.
