Item Description

Beautiful, chatoyant, bright green to dark green velvet malachite has pseudomorphed sharp, blocky azurite crystals on this sculptural and excellent plate from the Harold Urish Collection # 678. The few azurites left have "electric-blue" gemminess. This very fine older piece is from the Detroit Mine area, which produced from 1884-1932. Classic old-time Morenci valued at $450.
