Item Description

A classic and excellent Bisbee pseudomorph of two, very well placed, sharply terminated, blocky azurite crystals to 2.7 cm mostly altered to malachite. Most of the smaller azurites on this hefty ore specimen are also altered to malachite, but not all. This aesthetic old-time pseudo is from the famous Campbell Shaft and the Earl Calvert and Dave Stoudt Collections. Calvert was a prominent California collector, who died in 1964. This must have been a prominent find, as even the stope and mine level are known. Valued at $750-900.
