Item Description
An impressive and excellent malalchite pseudomorph after azurite specimen from Bisbee. This sturdy piece is highlighted by the 3.0 cm pointed pseudo at the top and the 2.9 x 2.5 cm blocky pseudo on the right side. The pseudos have nice chatoyance, especially the crystal at the top. The preferential coatings of turquoise-blue chrysocolla add color and character. This fine, older pseudo is from the famous Campbell Shaft and even the mine level is known. Ex Dick Graeme Collection (noted Bisbee specialist) and Dave Stoudt Collection # 147. Dave purchased this piece at the Houston Show in 1991 for $875. Value today should really be more like $1500-2000. A sculptural Bisbee pseudo with large defining crystals.
