Item Description

Velvet malachite has pseudomorphed a sharp, blocky, single azurite crystal on this fine thumbnail from Ajo. The malachite is moderately lustrous and chatoyant. Complete all-around nearly pristine, a trivial bit of out of sight edge wear is noted on the back. Ajo is famous for fine pseudos like this and this is an excellent example. Ex Jaime Bird Collection.
