Item Description

A geometric and amazingly sculptural, old-time matrix malachite pseudomorph after sharp azurite blades from the Sacarmento Mine. The fantastic doubly terminated cluster of parallel-growth sharply terminated blades is dramatically attached to the opposing terminated pseudo and the matrix. Complete all-around, this is an outstanding old specimen from Bisbee. The original Sacramento shaft started in 1904 and produced high grade ore until 1931. The Sacramento Pit started in 1917 and both localities were exhumed by the famous large Lavender Pit in 1950. Specimens from either Sacramento locality are RARE compared to other famous Bisbee mines. Valued by the former dealer at $750. A surreal and outstanding 360-degree cutie!
