Sharp, velvety, dark forest-green crystals of malachite, to 1.5 cm, have altered from azurite and cover the lighter colored malachite crust of this sculptural and aesthetic plate from the now famous discovery of 2007 at Milpillas. The lighter malachite crust lies on a bit of starkly contrasting white matrix. Get a very fine example of this varietal while you can! Excellent quality for the find.
