Item Description
A strikingly beautiful and sculptural large pseudomorph specimen from the now famous Milpillas Mine. Rich green, velvet malachite has pseudomorphed sharp, tapered azurite blades filling a dramatic large vug on this impressive large plate. Underlying azurite is noted on the periphery. The white matrix is a super contrast. One bruised pseudo is noted in the interior of the vug and the periphery wear is certainly a modest detraction. The smelter is converting to sulfide ore soon, indicating the oxide zone is about mined out. No more superb azurites and malachites will be forthcoming. Get a very fine large example of this varietal while you can!
