Item Description

An impressive large specimen from recent finds at this now well-known Mexican locale. Highly lustrous, chatoyant, dark green malachite has pseudomorphed large, sharp azurite blades to 2.6 cm. The rich blue azurite "cap" is a stunning accent to this very rich and showy large piece. The pseudos rest on a matrix rhyolite. Nearly pristine, the very modest periphery wear is certainly a minimal detraction. The smelter is converting to sulfide ore soon, indicating the oxide zone is about mined out. No more superb azurites and malachites will be forthcoming. Get a fine, large, highly representative example of this varietal while you can! Value??
