Item Description

A now classic example of prismatic, rich emerald green colored Malachite sitting on a "velvety" plate of blue Shattuckite from the famous copper producing region in the Kaokoveld. The piece is features a layer of beautiful blue Shattuckite (coating Quartz) that is plays hosts to a "spray" of rich forest green Malachite measuring 3.2 cm. The front of the Malachite has super high luster and is beautifully crystallized, but it is contacted on the "back" where it was removed from the pocket wall. It should be noted that Shattuckite is not found in well-crystallized specimens, and the Namibian material is among the best and most well known Shattuckites in the world.
