Malachite on Malachite stalactite

We have all seen countless hundreds, or more, of malachite specimens from the rich copper mines of the DRC; but every now and then something shocking shows up and surprises us. This piece, which looks like a green popsicle somehow, is a unique multilayered stalactite! The video speaks for itself. Note the chatoyance of the velvety malachite as it shifts in the light! It is just all of the boxes: cute, unique, pretty, and really catches the eye. It is also complete all around. Sadly Jack Halpern's old number painted on the piece is faded to where we simply cannot read it, so we do not know his collection number or when he acquired it; but that also means it was probably decades ago.
