Amazingly cute and sculptural chrysocolla and malachite combination miniature from the famous Star of Congo Mine. A stunning two-toned rich bright blue with a greenish-blue coating "brain" or cauliflower head-shaped chrysocolla cluster is dramatically perched on darker blue chrysocolla matrix. A fantastic band of scintillating, tiny gemmy, emerald-green primary malachite crystals on the base and the back of the "brain" are outstanding complements and accessories. This well-known copper-cobalt deposit is extinct commercially, but artisanal mining by locals has recovered more fine specimens. A unique looking chrysocolla and malachite combination from the renowned mine.
