Item Description
A classic from Tsumeb featuring attractive rich forest green colored radiating groups of Malachite sitting on cream colored rhombic Calcite with a selective deposition of an unknown golden-brown mineral. The largest Calcite measures 1.0 cm on edge, and if you flip the piece over, you can see Malachite groups of a more acicular habit. A very attractive specimen, and great quality for the material. Tsumeb specimens are rising in value by the minute it seems. From the worldwide collection of noted Idaho collector Geary Murdock. Among other accomplishments, Geary was responsible for discovering some of the finest gem grade deep blue Aquamarine crystals in the Sawtooth Mountains of Idaho - which remain arguably the finest Aquamarines from any North American locality. https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/36634006/geary-jack-murdock
