Bubbly, botryoidal, mildly chatoyant, velvet malachite covers this impressive large 3-dimensional plate from the famous mines at Bisbee. The underlying matrix is sturdy and hefty manganese oxides. The bit of noted scuffing is certainly only a modest detraction to this showy, large, highly representative two-sided example from this noted locale. Undoubtably older material, but no proof. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection and previously in the F. Stevano and John Ryason Collections, according to Bob's label.
