Item Description
Copper Queen Mine specimens are old and highly desirable Bisbee material - certainly mined prior to World War I. This imposing and sculptural CABINET malachite specimen consists of bubbly, botryoidal, banded malachite in parallel-growth, pillow-like or knobby forms. The broken faces reveal the intricate banding and super chatoyancy. Excellent and showy old Bisbee. Carving grade. Ex Dennis Mullane Bisbee Collection. $45 was not cheap in the 1960s or early 70s. 2 pounds or just shy of a kilo.
