Fantastic and surreal sparkly, rich green malachite "octopus" from one of the contemporary mines of the Katanga Copper Crescent. The impressive large head, body and tentacles rest atop and protect the numerous green, botryoidal malachite "eggs" in the sculptural, protective, recessed area. An exceptional and amazing biomorphic, small cabinet malachite specimen. While there are tonnes of this material on the market, in all sizes, this specimen just leaps out as special in style!
