Some of the largest and most well-known deposits of fine quality Malachite are those in various localities in DR Congo. The material ranges from beautiful display specimens to pieces with excellent patterns, best suited for lapidary purposes. Here we have a fantastic large "Round Cabochon" cut gem with a wonderful swirling banded appearance, which is very desirable for collectors of the material. The stone has a great swirling pattern with alternating mint-green and forest-green bands of color througout.
