Item Description

A dramatic and excellent, old-time, CABINET combination specimen from the famous mines at Bisbee. The very sculptural, 3-dimensional matrix is composed SOLIDLY of massive copper with just a bit complimentary limonite matrix. Bright green, micro-acicular, primary malachite heavily coats both sides of the piece. The centerpiece is the sheltered vug with beautiful, two-toned, green malachite needle botryoids. A super accessory on both sides are the rich peppering of classic and desirable, small rhombs of calcite included with malachite. The sawed base reveals the solid copper matrix. This old-timer probably dates to prior to World War I, but no proof. Highly desirable old Bisbee material from the Wes Parker Collection. Valued at $600-750. 670 grams or 1.5 pounds.
