Item Description
Dramatic and artistic large display quality malachite in sawed and polished rhyolite breccia from the famous Morenci Mine. The stunning and beautiful, centrally placed, 8.5 cm wide malachite has striking variably-hued malachite botryoids in the vug surrounded by banded malachite. Malachite veinlets coursing through the starkly contrasting mottled breccia matrix add real pizzazz to this colorful and impressive specimen. Mass is 1109 grams or 2.4 pounds. Excellent material from the Dave Stoudt New Mexico Collection, one of the few large collections specializing in this state.
