Malachite (four piece rough and cut set)

A really cool four piece rough and cut set of the world famous lapidary grade Malachite from the Shaba Province of the Congo. This set features a true piece of lapidary "rough" showing the beautiful banding patterns with alternating light green and dark green zones, which is paried up with a smaller specimen of dark forest green crystalline Malachite in botryoidal form. The two gems are but cut into "Oval Cabochons" and show the more popular patterns for these stones. The first stone has the sought after "bullseye" pattern in the center of the gem, while its match shows the classic "zebra stripe" or "banded agate" pattern with the classic geometic lines. This is some of the finest Malachite in the world, and should be appreciated as such. A worthwhile set for any collector of the material.
