Malachite (ex Don Belsher Collection)

Malachite is reported from the Bouse area in Arizona, but I'd never seen a specimen of this material before this piece arrived. For all intents and purposes, it's a worthwhile locality specimen, especially for an Arizona collector. Botryoidal aggregates of beautiful Malachite with a slight iron staining sit atop a layer of oxidized matrix. Originally in the collection of Don Belsher, a prominent collector from Colorado, and the father of Dan and Dennis Belsher.
