An old-time, excellent, floater malachite-coated cuprite crystal from the famous mines at Chessy. This classic is pristine and has rare dodecahedral crystal form. You can see areas of wine-red cuprite poking out of some corners and faces. The ancient Chessy mines were closed by the end of the 19th century and this is an outstanding example of a classic form and species. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock. Similar have sold widely in recent years for $200-400.
