Item Description
A nice miniature sized specimen from one of the most historic copper districts in the Western Hemisphere. Bisbee Malachites are world famous for their beautiful form and color. This piece comprises banded / layered botryoidal groups of velvety Malachite free of matrix. You can see the hues of green are slightly different in each layer. There is a even a bit of micro crystallized Malachite on the piece. Classic material and not nearly as common on the market today. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#2130). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
