Malachite, Cerussite and Pyromorphite (1970s)

Classic Cerussite and Malachite combination piece from the 1970s finds in Brown's Prospect at Rum Jungle, with rare LARGE botryoidal clusters of malachite mixed with the lead-rich pyromorphite/cerussite matrix. The cabinet-sized plate has excellent coverage of cream-white crystalline Cerussite crystals intermixed with globular earthy green botryoidal Malachite up to 2.6 cm across - much bigger than most such specimens. Close inspection shows a yellowish-brown partial coating of micro Pyromorphite on a few of the Malachites. The piece is in good condition with only a few incomplete Cerussite crystals. Older material that came out 50 years ago and not readily available on today's market! A definite classic and it is of large size and visual impact. Valued $2500-plus. Ex. Kurt Hefendehl collection.
