A high quality, sculptural, large Malachite stalactite from a recent discovery at one of the famous copper mines at Kolwezi. The almost "layered" knobby rich green Malachite has scintillating velvety luster on all sides. This beautiful piece has striking sculptural quality and is complete all-around, the only incomplete area is on the bottom where it was removed from the pocket wall. The undamaged contacted termination reveals the striking radial growth of the stalactite and the tube, where the copper-rich precipitating fluids flowed. These wonderful specimens are some of the most iconic and desirable examples of Malachite from any locality for their impressive size and beautiful form. Priced in the inventory at $3,500.
