Lustrous, thin, bladed crystals of riveting, deep-green Malachite fill this large, elongated pocket. The Malachite crystals range up to about 5 mm, and peeking out from below are numerous clusters and single balls of moss-green, botryoidal Chenevixite, a copper arsenate. The contrast between light and dark green and the difference in lusters and habits create a beautiful aesthetic. From Tsumeb, the greatest of all mines, this is an excellent cabinet piece in which two vastly different copper minerals complement and enhance each other. A rare combination
