Malachite after Cuprite (ex Willard Wulff Collection)

Item Description

An excellent and sharp, cuboctahedral crystal of Cuprite replaced by velvety green Malachite from Onganja. These are classics from the Emke Mine, and easily recognizable for their form and color. This specimen comes from the collection of Willard W. Wulff (1904-1998) of Colorado Springs, Colorado, a prominent figure and collector of Colorado minerals. Wulff was one of the founding members of the Colorado Springs Mineralogical Society in 1936. A wonderfully historic and eye-catching specimen of this well known historic material.
