Malachite after Azurite & Primary Malachite

Item Description

Two varieties of malachite cover this large impressive, sculptural plate from now-famous Milpillas. The interior is composed of striking parallel-growth clusters of malachite pseudomorphs after tabular azurite crystals, to about 3.4 cm. Fantastic chatoyant sprays of primary malachite needles cover much of the periphery of this striking piece. Some of the pseudos in the center of plate were contacted against the opposite vug wall, but there is little, if any damage. This very fine large plate displays well from either side and is a very choice large example of the two malachite styles from Milpillas.
