Item Description

A nice and showy Malachite specimen from the famous Katanga Copper Crescent in the Haut-Katanga, DR Congo. This small cabinet is filled with beautiful green color acicular crystals with chatoyant luster and an almost velvety appearance. No matrix to be seen, and the piece displays nicely as you can see from the photos. I love the directional luster of the Malachite crystals, which shows up beautifully when the piece is rotated in the light.
