Item Description

The Shilu Mine is famous for its fantastic Malachite specimens, many of which are are similar and just as impressive as their counterparts from the Katanga Copper Crescent in D. R. Congo. This piece is a really eye-catching miniature that has formed into hollow semi-round cavity featuringradial groups of velvety Malachite which have a rich forest green hue on the outside and a lighter minty green hue on the inside. You can see a gorgeous chatoyant luster all over. The piece is essentially crystallized all the way around, and is nearly a "floater" as I can only see a few tiny points of attachment.
