Item Description

This locality is well-known for producing some of the finest quality Azurite specimens in the world, but like many localities where Azurite is found, there are also attractive Malachites. This piece features lovely radiating groups and semi-fibrous growths of beautiful green colored Malachite which are associated with minor colorless bladed Barites on matrix. The largest "ball" of Malachite measures 2.2 cm across. This particular a style was seen about 10 years ago in oxidized zone at Milpillas. Overall the piece is good shape. Hard to photograph and better in person! If you have been wanting one of these pieces from Milpillas, don't miss out on getting one like this for a great price. It's now fairly well-known that the oxidized zone at Milpillas is finished and will most likely never produce these specimens again, so the value of good specimens will only increase as the years go by.
